About Us

Six on Friday plays the hits that span the generations - from the 70s to today. Formed in the summer of 2016, these six from the northwest suburbs of Chicago bring their own special style to the stage. Top performers in the 2017 Illinois Battle of the Bands Competition, they have a great fan base and enjoy gigs year-round. Whether you find them at a beer tent or main stage at summer festivals or headlining bars across Chicagoland, Six on Friday is always the life of the party. Their reputation has grown with each show and they always leave their audiences wanting more. Songs you will sing and dance to all night long, come on out to a Six on Friday show and see what everyone is talking about!

Meet the Band

Lucy Bullock

Lead Vocalist

As the lead vocalist of Six on Friday, Lucy Bullock has been entertaining audiences for over a decade. You can always find her performing somewhere in the Northwest suburbs, where she lives. With over 20 musical theatre performances, she brings her confidence and stage presence to every SoF show. Lucy has a wide range of music preferences spanning several genres and decades from classic rock, alternative to pop. Her musical influences highlight her diverse taste in music such as: Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Elton John, Maroon 5, Queen, Billy Joel, Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco. Since tying for first place at the Illinois Teen Battle of the Bands in 2017, Lucy has loved performing all over the state at many festivals and bars. She is a ball of energy on stage and loves engaging with the great SoF fans that continue to grow at each show.

JD Corso

Drums

Drummer, JD Corso – or “Dr. Sticks” as he is referred to by many – has been playing drums for nearly a decade. You rarely find JD without a pair of sticks in his hands or banging on something. He listens to a wide range of music from rock to jazz, but also really enjoys rap music. As the band rapper, Dr. Sticks is always leading the group on an impromptu rap song. JD has some impressive legends he looks up to when it comes to the drums, his influences are Neil Peart, John Bonham, Stuart Copeland, Keith Moon, Chad Smith and Dave Grohl. When Dr. Sticks is not playing drums, he is beat boxing, playing lacrosse or rowing on his local crew team. He loves banging the drums with Six on Friday and playing live for our great fans.  

Nathan McKann

Guitar

Nathan, electric and acoustic guitar, has been playing for five years. He ran into the band at a jam session and immediately bonded with the group. He started playing some gigs with the band last year and recently joined full time. His music influences run between Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, and Smashing Pumpkins, all the way to some heavy metal legends like Metallica and Megadeth. Nathan is a big movie buff, when not playing guitar you will find him watching or talking about his favorite flick. His movie knowledge is so deep; his friends call him “Hollywood.” Nathan is looking forward to rocking out on stage with band and meeting all the great SoF fans. 

Zach Olbur

Backup Vocals / Electric Bass

Zach Olbur, the bassist and backing vocals for Six on Friday, has been playing music since a very young age. He has also spent many years performing for audiences in musical theatre. Zach is in 3 different ensembles at BGHS with jazz, orchestra and
marching band. He was awarded best performer at Illinois Summer Youth Music Jazz Camp. His musical preferences range from Rock to Indie/Alternative to Jazz and Funk. Some of Zach’s musical influences are Rush, The Shins, Vampire Weekend, Queen, Muse, Green Day, Vulfpeck, Weezer and Phish. Besides the bass, Zach plays guitar, keys and drums; and recently has been working behind the sound board in music production. He is a super friendly and a hilarious guy that loves playing the bass for Six
on Friday.

MatThew Sanchez

Keys

The keyboardist of Six on Friday, Matthew Sanchez, has been playing keys for six years.
Music is his passion. He enjoys many different genres of music from classic rock to pop to EDM. When not playing the keyboard, he runs track, is involved in robotics and plays soccer. On his soccer team Matthew is known as “The Piano Man.” He loves playing in Six on Friday with his bandmates whether it’s rehearsing songs or performing for their great fans. Matthew’s great smile shines through every show as you can always see his love of sharing great music.

alex lofrano

Guitar

What started as a fun hobby has grown into a deep passion for Alex Lofrano, guitar player for Six on Friday. For nearly 10 years he has been playing guitar across many
genres. He has performed as part of his schools' jazz bands as well as many rock performances with El Rey Music Center before joining Six on Friday. Alex's influences
include Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Ramones and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Since playing in the band, he has broadened his guitar knowledge to include guitar riffs and solos from classic guitar bands of the 70s including, Aerosmith, and Journey.  When
Alex is not writing music or performing, he also enjoys swimming and playing Water
Polo.  Alex is also a dedicated sports fan and you’ll be pressed to find him performing without a sports jersey or hat.
